Freshers

Selection Process
Online Test Process
- Type of test: 100% coding questions.
- # of languages: You will have a choice of 10 languages to choose from, including: C, C++, C#, Java and Python.
- # of questions: 3
- # of test cases: Each question will have 2 to 5 test cases. There are 2 types – Default Test Cases and Basic Test Cases.
- Default Test Cases will help ensure that your solution is on the right track. These Default Test Cases carry NO marks.
- Basic Test Cases carry marks. Please ensure that you attempt ALL the Basic Test Cases.
- Duration: 2 hours. Please make sure that you click the submit button before time is up. If you do not click submit, you may lose marks.
How To Take the Online Test
- You can take the test from home.
- Ensure you have a good, uninterrupted Internet connection (if possible, a broadband connection). If you have connectivity issues at home, please let your Placement Officer know immediately and request they make arrangements for you.
- Please use a laptop/desktop with a camera; turn it on.
- Please ensure that all other applications are closed.
- Please attempt the test in a closed room where you are alone. Do not allow anyone to stand/sit near you or behind you.
- Do NOT use mobile phones or other devices while attempting the test.
- If you are disconnected for any reason, you may re-login within 20 minutes.
- Please approach your respective Placement Officer in case you are not able to complete the test.
- You SHALL NOT use shortcuts (not even Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V/Ctrl-S), toggle between tabs or look elsewhere other than on the screen. The test is proctored (closely watched). After a few attempts, you will be automatically locked out. Once locked out, you will NOT get a second chance to complete the test.

- Interview Date: Your Placement Officer will notify you of SOTI’s interview dates.
- Rounds of interview: There will be two rounds of interviews – Technical and HR.

Can students from other streams participate in the online test?
Yes. If you absolutely love programming, and developing software products is your passion, you are welcome to apply!
Can I participate in the online test if I have backlog?
Yes. If you are really passionate about coding, and if you can crack our exam, you are welcome.
Can I apply for both Internship and Fresher recruitment opportunities?
No. You need to choose between the two – either intern or fresher (not both).
Can I do a 2-month internship? I have 1 to 2 months between my semesters.
SOTI requires a minimum commitment of 6 months.
What is the duration of SOTI's internship program in India?

What can I expect during my internship with SOTI?
SOTI's internship experience includes opportunities to upgrade your skills, work on important key projects that contribute to the company's roadmap, plenty of hands-on mentorship and team building opportunities to network with your team.
What can I expect during the interview process?
During the technical interview, we will try to understand your thinking abilities and the depth of your knowledge. In the HR round, we will try to understand your skills, abilities and how passionate you are. It will be a good discussion. Be yourself!
What are the dates of the interviews?

Is there an employment bond?
No. We do not require anyone to sign a bond with us.
When will the intake be?

Can we use mobile phones to take the examination?
Mobile phones are not permitted to take the online test. Only a desktop or laptop with a camera is permitted.

What time is SOTI's online test?
The time will be mentioned in the email with the test link. The duration of the test will be 2 hours and 15 minutes. Please make sure that you login within the time frame. Your link will be active only during the allotted time frame.
May I do calculations on a paper during the coding test?
Yes, this is permitted.
Are there any negative marks?
No. There will be no negative marks.
What type of questions can I expect in the online test?
It will be competitive coding questions. We strongly encourage you to practice.
I don't have laptop. How can I take the online test?
Please contact your Placement Officer immediately and request arrangements. In the past, some students borrowed the laptop of a friend, neighbor or family member to take the online test.
Can I attend the online test in an Internet cafe?
Yes but only if you can ensure privacy. If people are standing behind you or people are moving, it may get reported as cheating. Ensure your location is private.
The data (name/email/mobile/college name) that I entered in the registration form is wrong. How can I get this corrected?
Please contact your Placement Officer and request a correction immediately.
